September Stamp Club: Sour Cream Container

For September's Stamp Club we made sour cream containers. The name "sour cream container" just sounds funny. Before the internet, blogs and Big Shots, these were the kinds of things Stampers made. Sour cream containers are very simple to make. Here's how...

Cut cardstock to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4--you can make four from sheet of cardstock!!! How's that for economical?! Emboss with Spider Web Embossing Folder. In this project, I do use the Big Shot to emboss the cardstock--it's just really hard NOT to use this fabulous tool. Gently swipe White StazOn across the raised spider web. Spritz with Smooch Spritz. Allow to dry. Place Sticky Strip on the long end of one side, to the center of the top, and in the middle of the bottom. Like this...

Fold into a tube and seal ONE end.

Add candy and seal up. Crimp the ends. Embellish as you wish. I added a spider tag layered with circles and attached with baker's twine.

Supplies:
Batty For You Stamp Set
Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, Whisper White Cardstock
Basic Black Classic Ink
White Baker's Twine, Sticky Stripe Adhesive, Paper Crimper
1 1/4 Circle, 1 3/8 Circle, 1 3/4 Scallop Circle Punches
Spider Web Embossing Folder, Big Shot, Multi-purpose Platform

We also stamped items with It's A Wrap Stamp Set from the Holiday Mini to use on "nugget" candy. These are easy and fun to make. Simply stamp on an Avery Label (5160 or 8160) and wrap aournd nugget candy. Clear mount stamps make it very easy to see where on the label to stamp. Four nugget candies will fit in a Big Shot Matchbox. Like this one from Charlotte Regional...

Happy Stamping! Bye for now, Maria
